TRINA BARTIMER BRUNO
I spent my childhood amidst the frenetic rhythms of Manhattan, observing nature
through windows. As I began to experience other areas of the country, I learned how
the calm and openness of the natural environment nourished my soul.
Using varied textures and materials, and putting my own boundaries on the
haphazardness of nature, my focus is to connect the visual and emotional contrast
of these two worlds.
Along with my training in the fine arts, I became a designer in the wood working
business that my husband and I created. We spent fifteen years as part of a national
juried wholesale show that featured museum-quality work and I found myself
immersed in the world of fine craft.
The sheer variety of mediums, color, form and texture of the fine craft world, combined
with my formal training in painting and drawing has greatly influenced my aesthetic.
